Will the song grab the Oscar?

“Husavik” from the film Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga is one of the five nominated songs on the category of the Best Original Song at the 93rd Academy Awards. The awards will take place on April 25th.

The song is composed by Atli Örvarsson and the lyrics are written by Fat Max Gsus, Rickard Göransson and Savan Kotecha. The song is performed by Will Ferrell and Molly Sandén, under the stage name My Marianne.

Yesterday at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, the soundtrack for the movie failed to win the category Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media. The award went to Jojo Rabbit.

Recently we reported about Icelandic government’s plans for a Eurovision museum in Húsavík. Will they get to add the Oscar trophy to the collection?
