Montaigne has released a vibrant music video to accompany her Eurovision 2021 entry “Technicolor”. A live performance from Sydney Mardi Gras had previously been used as the official clip for the song. Montaigne is currently the only 2021 artist to not be heading to Rotterdam this month, but will instead join the festivities via SBS Studios, despite her live-on-tape performance being used.
Although Montaigne has suffered the blow of not being able to join the rest of the Class of 2021 at Rotterdam’s AHOY this year, she has pressed on by releasing a vibrant music video for “Technicolour”.
The fun clip was directed and edited by Courtney Brookes and produced by Jess Belgiovane. Although we don’t know exactly what her performance will entail, the clip includes dancers and animated effects that bring the song to life. She previously described her performance as “fun and cute and silly and snarky”.

Montaigne’s Eurovision journey so far
Last year, Montaigne was selected as Australia’s representative after winning Eurovision: Australia Decides with her song, “Don’t Break Me”. After the contest was cancelled, SBS invited Montaigne back to compete at the 2021 contest in Rotterdam. She will be bringing “Technicolour” to the first semi-final on May 18th and will be the 5th entry of the night.
Australia are currently the only country set to take part in the contest using their live-on-tape performance. Montaigne recently revealed that she is set to join the first semi-final live from the SBS Studios, where she will talk to the hosts in Rotterdam live during green room segments.
