Rehearsal review

Firstly, remind yourselves what happened in the first rehearsal:

And now here is what we’ve noticed in today’s second rehearsal:

Clear from the first moment is the fact that Manizha is working her facial expressions more than she did during her first rehearsal. There are lots of funky and strong looks into the camera. You can feel that she is not here to play, but to convey her message.

Manizha still starts off in the big dress on wheels. This time, she’s wearing a golden hair piece with pearls on it. Her backing vocalists are dressed in gold. She finishes her first run through by shouting Be the change, something she doesn’t do on her second run. They are trying different things to see what works best.

Towards the end of the song, Manizha and her team turn their backs to the green room and cameras, to face a wall full of people singing the Russian lyrics. It is a very powerful moment that delivers goosebumps.
