Rehearsal review
Firstly, remind yourselves what happened in the first rehearsal:
And now here is what we’ve noticed in today’s second rehearsal:
Firstly, it’s fair to say that the Polish team have cleaned this up considerably since the first rehearsal. The choreography definitely looked a lot more slick during today’s rehearsals. However, there are still some camerawork faux pas that need to be cleaned up. Particularly, the ‘slo mo’ illusion needs to be edited ahead of the next rehearsals.
RAFAŁ is looking and sounding a lot more confident compared to his last rehearsal. Even though he removes his sunglasses for the middle section, the lack of engagement and connection is an issue for me. Another aspect that does not work is that the lone backing singer can be seen on stage during the performance, where as other countries have hidden them. I would encourage Poland to move the singer to the offstage wing.
Overall, this now feels like less of an outlier in terms of being considerably more sloppy and chaotic than its surrounding entries. However, in a semi full of class, I cannot see this not coming last with jurors. In fact, if jurors give this points, they are not doing their jobs.
Qualifier or not?
