Following yesterday’s reports on the countries that didn’t score well in the televoting of the Eurovision Song Contest, we now take a look at those that did. Ukraine scored 267 televote points and in the breakdown, we see how well GO_A actually did on their way to a second place with the televoters.
As many douzes as Italy
GO_A were 51 points behind Måneskin with their song Shum, 267 versus 318 points. However, they both scored points from every single country in the contest. No country placed Ukraine outside their top ten. Like with Italy, five countries decided to award Ukraine their douze points in the televoting.
Joining the five that put GO_A first, they also received ten points from six other countries. Five more countries decided to rank Ukraine at #3. In total, that means 42% of the countries ranked Ukraine in their top three. Their average score with televoters was a very respectable 4.4. Winners Italy recorded an average of 3.2.

With the exception of France and Italy here and San Marino for Italy, we haven’t yet seen many of the western European douzes. Looking at where the points for Ukraine and Italy came from, it’s fair to say they swept the eastern side of the Eurovision map. Ukraine however do score relatively well with western countries higher in the top ten, with examples of Portugal, Austria and Iceland awarding it a lot of points.
Like with Italy, at the bottom of the table we see Denmark and the United Kingdom. Both countries were not that fond of Zitti e buoni from Italy and now also seem to be a little different from the rest of Europe when it comes to Shum. Denmark, along with Malta, put it at #10. British viewers ranked GO_A seventh. Switzerland are also in the mix, placing the Ukrainian entry at #9.
