Azerbaijan have become the latest country to confirm their participation in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, due to be hosted in Italy. Azeri broadcaster İTV have not yet confirmed their method of selection for the 2022 contest.
İTV, the Azerbaijani national broadcaster, has confirmed to ESCToday that Azerbaijan will participate in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest. The selection method for the next Azerbaijani entry has not been confirmed. However, it is highly likely to be an internal selection, as has been the case since 2015.
Back in August, İTV confirmed their return to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for 2021, marking their fourth participation in the Junior contest to date.

She was due to perform in the first semi-final prior to the cancellation of the 2020 contest. Following the cancellation, the broadcaster chose to re-select her for the 2021 contest. Back in March, Efendi released her 2021 entry “Mata Hari”.
In Rotterdam, she qualified from the first semi-final in 8th place. She ultimately placed 20th in the Grand Final with a total of 65 points.
