The fifth entry of Finland’s national selection for Eurovision Song Contest 2022 has just been released. Olivera is taking part in UMK22 with the song “Thank God I’m an Atheist”.

The song is written by Olivera herself together with Lenno Linjama and Alpo Nummelin. Lenno Linjama is known as a DJ, who has worked with many international artists including Alec Benjamin, HRVY and Vigiland. His most streamed song on Spotify is “This Groove” with over 84 million streams.

Alpo Nummelin is a songwriter and producer. He has had success in Finland together with his band Ruusut as well as a producer for artists such as SANNI, Vesala and Pyhimys.


Who is Olivera?

While Olivera (Katriina Ullakko) is still waiting for her big breakthrough in Finland, she already has over 12 million streams on Spotify and has worked with many international artists.

She released her first EP in 2015, but scored her first big streaming hit with “Golden Plate” in 2017. The next year she released “No More” that has clocked over ten million streams. The same year she featured on the song “Affliction” by DJ Tiësto and also wrote the lyrics for the song. Since then, Olivera has released two more EPs and several singles.

Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2022

The eleventh edition of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu is taking place on February 26th at 20:00 CET. Seven acts will compete and the Finnish public together with international juries will choose Finland’s representative for Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin.

The seven contestants who are taking part are Cyan Kicks, BESS, The Rasmus, Younghearted, Olivera, Tommi Läntinen and Isaac Sene. The next song will be released tomorrow at 23:00 CET.
