Among tonight’s artist we found “El Diablo” songwriter Cleiton “OXA” Sia, who failed to qualify from the semi-final. Also competing tonight was Sebastian “Basti” Schmidt, who previously competed in San Marino’s national selection in 2018, when the show was called 1in360. He later provided backing vocals for the eventual winners, Jessika feat. Jenifer Brening, at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon.
The semi-finals have been pre-recorded and are broadcasted on SMRTV a day later. In total 16 artists, three from each semi-final and four from the second chance round, will make it to the final of emerging artists, which is set to be broadcasted on SMRTV on February 18th. Over the past two evenings, we saw the first six artists qualifying. Tomorrow we will see only Sammarinese artists performing on the fourth semi-final. The second chance round will include five artists from the three first semi-finals. The emerging artists final will have nine artists to qualify to the final of Una Voce per San Marino.
These nine artists will compete in the final together with the ten established artists. The winner of Una Voce per San Marino will be decided on 19th of February. The final will be hosted by San Marino’s Eurovision 2011, 2020 and 2021 representative Senhit together with Jonathan Kashanian. The winner will represent San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy.
