Blind Channel and The Rasmus cancel concerts in Russia and Ukraine

Finland’s Eurovision 2021 representative Blind Channel and Eurovision 2022 representative The Rasmus have announced that they are cancelling their concerts in Russia and Ukraine.

Blind Channel was set to perform in Saint Petersburg and Moscow in October as part of their Sick & Dangerous Tour. They were also set to perform on the Atlas Festival in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv on 9th of July. They announced the news on the cancellation of these concerts on their Instagram and Twitter.

The Rasmus, who were selected to represent Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 past weekend, have also cancelled their concerts in Ukraine and Russia, set to take place this November. They announced the news on their social media today.

It is with heavy hearts that we must cancel our upcoming tour dates in Russia and Ukraine. The Rasmus are sending love, strength and support to all people and our dear fans in Ukraine. We think about you and your safety every day and pray that peace is restored in your beautiful country. To our Russian fans, we know you are not responsible for the cruel acts of violence that are being committed by the Russian leadership and that they do not reflect the ideals of the wonderful people we have met over many years of touring there. We hope that this terrible situation is resolved and that we can all be together again.
