During the Romanian national selection for Eurovision Song Contest, Moldova’s Zdob și Zdub and Frații Advahov performed a new version of their Eurovision 2022 entry “Trenulețul”.
It is yet to be confirmed if this version is the one they will go to Eurovision with. Zdob și Zdub and Frații Advahov will represent Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 after being selected by a special jury from the songs that auditioned to be the country’s representative.
Zdob și Zdub have previously represented Moldova twice. In 2005 they took part with “Boonika bate doba” and finished sixth in the grand final. They returned to the contest in 2011 with “So Lucky” and finished 12th in the final of the contest in Düsseldorf.
Moldova will take part in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 that takes place in Turin, Italy. Zdob și Zdub and Frații Advahov will perform on the first half of the show on May 10th. The final of Eurovision Song Contest 2022 takes place on May 14th.
