It has been confirmed that Kalush Orchestra will be performing live in Turin for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 despite the current invasion of Ukraine. They will also participate in promotional concerts before the contest in May.

Due to the current invasion of Ukraine, there have been uncertainties if Kalush Orchestra will be able to travel to Turin in May in order to take part in Eurovision Song Contest live. Today it was confirmed by the Ukrainian broadcaster UA:PBC that the best the band can do for the country now is to support Ukraine with their performance and through communication with the European audience.

Kalush Orchestra have gathered in Lviv for the first time since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine and started preparations for their performance in Turin. They have also decided to participate in promotional concerts before Eurovision. The band intends to gather donations to support Ukraine. The details of the promotional tour and events that Kalush Orchestra will participate in will be announced in the coming days. UA:PBC has secured the official authorization for the band’s travel from the state authorities.

We want to show the world community Ukrainian music, our spirit and how unbreakable we are. We really need support in this difficult time.

I started watching Eurovision back in 2006, when I was only 10 and couldn't stay up to see Lordi winning. I attended my first contest in 2013 in Malmö. I'm studying journalism and I love music — you will probably never see me without my headphones on.
