Kalush Orchestra to perform live in Turin and start promotional tour

It has been confirmed that Kalush Orchestra will be performing live in Turin for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 despite the current invasion of Ukraine. They will also participate in promotional concerts before the contest in May.

Due to the current invasion of Ukraine, there have been uncertainties if Kalush Orchestra will be able to travel to Turin in May in order to take part in Eurovision Song Contest live. Today it was confirmed by the Ukrainian broadcaster UA:PBC that the best the band can do for the country now is to support Ukraine with their performance and through communication with the European audience.

Kalush Orchestra have gathered in Lviv for the first time since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine and started preparations for their performance in Turin. They have also decided to participate in promotional concerts before Eurovision. The band intends to gather donations to support Ukraine. The details of the promotional tour and events that Kalush Orchestra will participate in will be announced in the coming days. UA:PBC has secured the official authorization for the band’s travel from the state authorities.

In Turin, Kalush Orchestra will take part in the first semi-final of the contest on May 10th. They will be on the stage as the sixth act of the night and will represent Ukraine with the song “Stefania”.
