We have a date for the Dutch Junior Eurovision National Final!
Yes, the 2022 Dutch Junior Eurovision National Final ‘Junior Songfestival’ will take place on September 24, and it will take place at the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam once again.
If that venue name sounds familiar, yes not only has the Ahoy Arena hosted Junior Songfestival since 2020, but it is also the same venue that hosted the 2007 Junior Eurovision Song Contest and the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest.
Tickets are also now on sale for anyone who would like to be in the audience for the live final. They are €10 for AVROTROS members and €15 for non-members (excluding a €0.50 cover charge) and can be bought here.
Speaking of the Dutch broadcaster, AVROTROS has also revealed the second half of the finalists that will be competing in the live final.
They are: Thomas, Thijs, Eva, Joep, Kayleigh, Kaey and Lemay
They join the seven young hopefuls that had already been revealed as finalists: Noor, Danny, Larissa, Sam, Lois, Luuk and Luna.
These 14 finalists will now be put into four acts of either soloists, duets or groups. Those acts will then each have a song written for them, which they will perform at the live final in September.
