Annabelle Ats, a promising young musician from Tartu County, has been selected to represent Estonia at the 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Spain. The announcement came after her victorious performance at the “Tähtede lava” finale on Sunday.
At just 13 years old, Annabelle, a piano student and solo vocalist, has shown exceptional musical talent from an early age. Her participation in various national and international competitions has prepared her well for the international stage. She will be the second representative of Estonia at Junior Eurovision.
The finale, held in Tallinn, showcased performances from four talented finalists aged 11 to 13, including Tristan Erik Teniste, Karl-Markkus Rebane, and Milana Fayzullova, alongside Annabelle. The selection process combined jury assessments with public voting.
During the event, Annabelle performed “The House of The Rising Sun” and collaborated with Kärt Sepp on Imre Sooäär’s “Üle vee.” The competition also featured unique duet performances, pairing young talents with esteemed Estonian artists such as Silver Laas, Karmen Rõivassepp, Kéa, and Kärt Sepp.
The jury panel included notable figures from the music and dance community, such as Sirje Medell, Kadri Hunt, Robert Linna, Ewert Sundja, Alice Aleksandridi, and Maris Aljaste, head organizer of the Children’s Jazz Festival Kräsh. The event was hosted by popular figures Jaagup Tuisk and Aaron Thor Härm.
