Macedonian Radio Television (MRT) has announced open auditions for the young talent who will represent North Macedonia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024. The contest, is calling for vocalists aged 9 to 14 to showcase their skills and compete for the chance to shine on an international stage.
Applications for the auditions are being accepted via email at [email protected]. Eligible candidates must be citizens or residents of North Macedonia and should include their name, date and place of birth, and a parent’s contact information in their application. Each participant will perform two songs of their choice using instrumental backing tracks. The auditions will be held on June 19, 2024, at the MRT studios, starting at 10:00 AM, and applications will remain open until June 17, 2024.
Over the years, the country has had notable entries in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, with standout performances like Mila Moskov’s 6th place finish in 2019 and the group Dajte Muzika’s 9th place finish in 2021. Most recently, in 2023, Tamara Grujeska represented North Macedonia with “Kaži Mi, Kaži Mi Koj,” finishing in 12th place
