The excitement is building for Junior Eurovision 2024, and now we know who will be leading us through the show! On September 12, Spanish broadcaster RTVE revealed that Ruth Lorenzo, Marc Clotet, and Melani García will be the hosts for this year’s contest. The 22nd edition of Junior Eurovision will be broadcast live from the Caja Mágica in Madrid on November 16.
Ruth Lorenzo
A familiar face to Eurovision fans, Ruth Lorenzo represented Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014 with her song Dancing in the Rain, which secured a top 10 finish. Since then, she has remained a prominent figure in the Spanish entertainment world, not only as a singer but also as a television host. Most recently, Ruth has been the face of Benidorm Fest, Spain’s Eurovision pre-selection show.
Reflecting on her new hosting role, Ruth shared: “This is a responsibility like few others I have ever had as a presenter. I live it with the same enthusiasm, responsibility, and fantasy as the young artists who will come to Madrid to share their music.”
Marc Clotet
Marc Clotet, an award-winning actor, is known for his extensive work in film, television, and theater. He gained fame with roles in Física o Química and La Voz Dormida, and later founded his own production company. His series Esto No Es Suecia, co-produced with RTVE, has been recognized at international festivals. Marc is looking forward to the global audience: “Hosting this show, in front of 30 million people, and supporting the dreams of so many young artists from across Europe is a true honor.”
Melani García
At just 17 years old, Melani García has already had a significant impact on the Junior Eurovision stage. In 2019, she represented Spain with her song Marte and achieved a third-place finish. Since then, she’s continued to perform and release music, while also dabbling in television and theater. Melani, now stepping into the role of host, expressed her excitement: “Being on stage from another perspective is a dream come true. As a Eurofan and an artist, I hope to help everyone enjoy the festival as much as I will.”
