Sal Da Vinci WILL represent Italy at Eurovision 2026

Today, RAI has confirmed that the Sanremo 2026 winner, Sal Da Vinci has accepted the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 invitation and WILL represent Italy in Vienna, Austria this May with, ‘Per sempre sì’.

During a press conference earlier today, RAI revealed that Sal Da Vinci has formally accepted the invitation given to the winner of Festival di Sanremo and will go to Eurovision 2026. Every year, the winner of Italy’s biggest music festival has the option to decline or accept representing Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest. This happened last year, with Lucio Corsi going to Basel in place of Sanremo 2025 winner Olly who was given first option.

In one of the closest Sanremo finals, Sal Da Vinci won the 76th edition of Sanremo 2026. The results during the broadcast were as follows:

  1. Sal Da Vinci – ‘Per sempre sì’ – 22.2%
  2. Sayf – ‘Tu mi piaci tanto’ – 21.9%
  3. Ditonellapiaga – ‘Che fastidio!’ – 20.6%
  4. Arisa – ‘Magica favola’ – 18.9%
  5. Fedez & Masini – ‘Male necessario’ – 16.5%
