Monroe performs “Regarde !” live on French TV for the first time

Tonight, at 20:00 CEST, French Eurovision representative Monroe performed her entry “Regarde !” for the first time on French TV.

Monroe gave her first full live performance in full on “C à vous”, a talkshow on France Télévisions’ France 5 channel, a few weeks after the reveal of her entry, “Regarde !”.

Monroe had already performed small extracts of the song, on social media or during the OGAE France Preview, where she joined a sing-along/karaoke with French fans, but this was the first full performance, in professionnal conditions.

The TV performance used a lot of dancers, looking similar to the videoclip, alongside the Violin Phonix duo of violinists. Monroe herself performed for two main cameras, in front of her and on the side, with the whole act turning 90 degrees to face one or the other. The idea behind the staging would be very fitting for the 2024 Malmö stage, “in the round”.

After her performance, the “C à Vous” team surprised Monroe with a message from Josh Groban, inviting her to sing with him during his Paris concert next week. She previously said that she would love to collaborate with him.

Born from an American father and a French mother, Monroe grew up in Utah and started to sing in her local church choir. Last year, she took part in the singing section of the 11th season of “Prodiges”, a talent show broadcast by France Télévisions over the Christmas holidays, showcasing young dancers, musicians and singers aged 7 to 16, described as “prodigies” of music. She won the show’s final in January 2025 and has recently released her first album, Monroe, with covers of famous classic tracks.
