🇲🇹 Beppe Caruana wins The Voice Kids Malta
Following the tradition of many other broadcasters, Malta’s PBS has revealed that Beppe Caruana will take to the JESC 2027 stage following his victory in The Voice Kids Malta.
Beppe won the show following two rounds of live performances featuring a total of six acts. Each coach selected one of their acts to advance to the Super-Final. Beppe’s victory was decided by a jury.
Recently, Beppe released his host entry, ”Blue Bird’. The song was composed and produced by Matt Blxck, Matthew James and Muxu. Many will remember Matt Blxck for his attempts to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Malta has participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 22 times since 2003, where they debuted in the inaugural contest in Copenhagen with Sarah Harrison and her entry ‘Like A Star’. Despite having three bottom table finishes, Malta have typically been a top 10 mainstay in the junior competition. In its history, Malta has won Junior Eurovision twice in 2013 and 2015, with Gaia Cauchi and Destiny Chukunyere. Destiny went on to represent Malta at Eurovision itself in 2021, where she placed 7th in the Grand Final with her song ‘Je Me Casse’.
Last year, Eliza Borg represented Malta with the song ‘I Believe‘. She placed 11th overall with a total of 92 points.
