The Maltese national broadcaster PBS have confirmed that Eliza Borg will represent the nation at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 taking place in Tbilisi, Georgia on December 13 with ‘I Believe’.

After winning a highly competitive edition of Malta’s version of the reality TV show, The Voice Kids, Eliza Borg is now ready to share the song that will represent Malta on the Tbilisi stage at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 taking place on December 13. The 12-year-old will sing, ‘I Believe’.
‘I Believe’ was by composed by Elton Zarb with lyrics written by Matt Muxu Mercieca and Destiny Chukunyere. Destiny represented the island of Malta on the main Eurovision stage in 2020 and 2021.
Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Malta has participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 21 times since 2003, where they debuted in the inaugural contest in Copenhagen with Sarah Harrison and her entry ‘Like A Star’. Despite having three bottom table finishes, Malta have typically been a top 10 mainstay in the junior competition. In its history, Malta has won Junior Eurovision twice in 2013 and 2015, with Gaia Cauchi and Destiny Chukunyere. Destiny went on to represent Malta at Eurovision itself in 2021, where she placed 7th in the Grand Final with her song ‘Je Me Casse’. Last year, Ramires Sciberras represented Malta with the song ‘Stilla ċkejkna‘. He placed 5th overall with a total of 153 points.
