Eliza Borg has emerged victorious in the latest edition of The Voice Kids Malta and will represent the Mediterranean island at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025.
🇲🇹 Eliza Borg wins The Voice Kids Malta
A highly competitive edition of Malta’s version of the reality TV show, The Voice Kids has concluded. After two rounds in the Final, Eliza Borg won the show and will represent Malta on the Tbilisi stage at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 taking place on December 13.
In the first round of the Final, all the remaining singers performed their audition entry. Afterwards the coaches – Gianluca, Destiny and Sarah selected one member of their respective teams to progress to the final round. From there, the three Super-Finalists performed a duet with their coach.
At the time of writing, no details are known about the entry 12-year-old Eliza Borg will perform later this year.
Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Malta has participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 21 times since 2003, where they debuted in the inaugural contest in Copenhagen with Sarah Harrison and her entry ‘Like A Star’. Despite having three bottom table finishes, Malta have typically been a top 10 mainstay in the junior competition. In its history, Malta has won Junior Eurovision twice in 2013 and 2015, with Gaia Cauchi and Destiny Chukunyere. Destiny went on to represent Malta at Eurovision itself in 2021, where she placed 7th in the Grand Final with her song ‘Je Me Casse’. Last year, Ramires Sciberras represented Malta with the song ‘Stilla ċkejkna‘. He placed 5th overall with a total of 153 points.
