During a recent press conference, the Sammarinese broadcaster SMRTV confirmed new dates for its Eurovision 2026 selection San Marino Song Contest 2026. The Grand Final will now take place on March 6.

In a change to earlier press releases from SMRTV, the dates for the upcoming San Marino Contest 2026 have been updated. Moving one day earlier, the two Semi-Finals will now take place on March 2 and March 3. The Grand Final of San Marino’s Eurovision 2026 national selection will be held on March 6.
Once again, the expanded national selection will take place at the Teatro Nuovo in Dogana. Viewers can follow the broadcast live on San Marino RTV, channel 550, and on Radio San Marino.
Each Semi-Final will feature 20 competitors selected through “Dreaming San Marino Song Contest,” a process run by Media Evolution. Ten acts from each Semi-Final will advance to the Final, where they will join 10 invited artists.
Massimo Bonelli is the Artistic Director of the competition, while Cristiano D’Alisera is the Director. Meanwhile the Director of Photography is Marco Lucarelli, and the Scenography will be by Marco Calzavara, in collaboration with Media Evolution and under the patronage of the Secretariat of State for Tourism.
The winner will represent San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna. Eurovision is scheduled for May 12 and 14 with the Grand Final on May 16.
