Following another competitive edition of Norway’s Eurovision 2026 national selection, it is Jonas Lovv that wins Melodi Grand Prix 2026 and will represent the Scandinvian nation with ‘Ya Ya Ya’ in Vienna, Austria this May.
Jonas Lovv will represent Norway at Eurovision 2026
Tonight, at the Håkons Hall in Lillehammer, Norway’s Eurovision 2026 selection took place. In the final nine acts took part. During the show, hosted by Ronny Brede Aase, Marte Stokstad and Markus Neby the combined results of the jury and public declared Jonas Lovv as the winner of Melodi Grand Prix 2026. Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025
After the return of the one-show selection format, Kyle Alessandro emerged victorious in Melodi Grand Prix 2025 earlier this year. During the final, Kyle received a combined total of 307 points, 117 points ahead of runner-up Nataleen. The winner was determined through the combined scores of the international jury (40%) and public televoting (60%).
At the Basel contest, Kyle qualified from the first Semi-Final in 8th place. During the Grand Final, the uptempo pop track, ‘Lighter’ finished in 18th place, scoring 89 points.
