Sal Da Vinci won the 76th edition of the Festival di Sanremo on Saturday night with the song “Per sempre sì,” topping the combined vote at the Teatro Ariston.
The result was determined by a mix of televote, press jury and radio jury, with the top five advancing to a superfinal vote.
Sayf finished second with “Tu mi piaci tanto,” followed by Ditonellapiaga with “Che fastidio!” in third place. Arisa placed fourth with “Magica favola,” and Fedez and Masini completed the top five with “Male necessario.”
A total of 30 artists competed in the Campioni category across five nights of performances. The final ranking was decided after votes from earlier shows were combined with the superfinal round.
As winner of Sanremo 2026, Sal Da Vinci receives the right of first refusal to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna. Italy’s broadcaster Rai will confirm the country’s Eurovision entrant in due course.
The Festival di Sanremo remains Italy’s traditional method of selecting its Eurovision representative. Recent winners have gone on to represent the country on the Eurovision stage following confirmation by Rai.
ESCXTRA will provide further updates on Italy’s Eurovision participation as they are announced.
