Alec to represent France at JESC 2026

The French broadcaster France 2 have confirmed their representative for JESC 2026. Later this year Alec will take to the stage in Ta’ Qali, Malta.

Once again, France have opted for an internal selection to find its Junior Eurovision 2026 representative. During an evening of entertainment in the show Fête de la Musique, France 2 announced that Alec will fly the French flag in Malta.

From his earliest years Alec was destined for the stage. He learned the piano at the age of five and the guitar at seven. He has also been singing from a similarly young age. Last year, the now 12-year-old Alec participated in N’oubliez pas les enfants.

So far, he is the sixth act to be chosen for the upcoming Junior Eurovision 2026 taking place in Malta on October 24. More details on the internally selected entry will be announced in the coming weeks.

France in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest

France returned to Junior Eurovision in 2018 and has had a very good run since its comeback, with four victories (2020, 2022, 2023 and 2025). As well as this, France has a continuous top 5 record since 2018 and has only ever finished as low as sixth place. Easily making France the most successful JESC nation.
