Tonight Israel will decide upon it’s representative in the Eurovision Song Contest. Four acts are in chance to grab the ticket to Vienna. Unlike last year’s internal selection, Israeli broadcaster IBA is working in collaboration with Tedy Productions and Keshet TV.
The television station is running a talent show known as Hakochav Haba (The Next Star). In tonight’s show, the tele-viewers will be able to vote for their favourite artist through an app launched for the show. The viewers’ vote will be added to the jury voting in the television studio. The winner will represent Israel in the second semi-final on 21st May. The song, the artist picked will sing in May will be released later.
The show will kick-off at 20:00 CET and a webcast will be available here.
The four acts in contention to represent Israel are;
- Sari Nachmias
- Avia Shoshani
- Nadav Guedj
- Iki Levy & The Rasta Hebrew Men
The winner from tonight will hope to turn things around as in recent years, Israel failed to leave an impact in the contest. The country did not qualify for the past four consecutive years. Stay tuned and follow the Israeli participation in this year’s contest.
