Vienna 2015

Five shows in the world of Eurovision!

With Iceland and Italy finishing their selections, five of last week’s Super Saturday countries are now continuing their Eurovision selection process. It’s a truly Baltic weekend with Lithuania and Estonia finishing their selections tonight, whereas Latvia will do so tomorrow. Below, you can find the escXtra Guide to Tonight!
Estonia

  • What: Eesti Laul 2015 – Final
  • Start: 20.35 CET
  • Broadcast: ETV

After Italy chose Grande Amore this week, Estonia slipped down to second place with bookmakers. For many fans, tonight is all about one act: Elina Born & Stig Rästa. What will happen if they’d win tonight’s Eesti Laul? Would Estonia rocket back up to first tonight? Estonian polls say they will win, European polls say they will win… But will they? That’s the big question for tonight’s final of Eesti Laul 2015, so be sure to tune in at 20.35 CET!
Tonight’s line-up:

  1. Luisa Värk – Minu Päike
  2. Maia Vahtramäe – Üle Vesihalli Taeva
  3. Elina Born & Stig Rästa – Goodbye To Yesterday
  4. Kali Briis Band – Idiot
  5. Robin Juhkental & The Big Bangers – Troubles
  6. Daniel Levi – Burning Lights
  7. Elisa Kolk – Superlove
  8. The Blurry Lane – Exceptional

Lithuania

  • What: “Eurovizijos” dainų konkurso nacionalinė atranka – Artist selection
  • Start: 20.00 CET
  • Broadcast: LRT1

You’re used to this one now, aren’t you? However, it’s the final show in Lithuania! After a marathon of weeks, no, months, Lithuania is now going to complete their entry. Last week, they chose This Time as their entry for Vienna. But as Lithuania does things differently, we still have no idea who’s going to sing it in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. Just three acts remain and the most logical choice would be Vaidas Baumila – it’s his song after all. But we’ve seen all sorts of odd decisions this year, so who knows!
The three competing acts:

  • Mia
  • Vaidas Baumila
  • Monika Linkytė

Hungary

  • What: A Dal 2015 – Semifinal 2
  • Start: 20.25 CET
  • Broadcast: M1

Another one you probably got used to by now. Just one change: It’s not the last show in Hungary just yet! It’s the fifth show of six in A Dal 2015. Last week, four qualifiers for the final were selected. Tonight, another four will follow. That means five acts will be eliminated. After seeing favourites Boggie and Ádám Szabó qualify last week, can tonight’s favourites Passed and Kati Wolf do the same? Three qualifiers will be picked by the jury, a final one by televoting.
The nine acts for tonight:

  • Gabi Szűcs – Úgysem Felejtesz El
  • Other Planet – Untold Story
  • Bogi Dallos – World of Violence
  • Gergő Oláh – A Tükör Előtt
  • ÍV – Fire
  • Gyula Éliás Jr. ft. Fourtissimo – Run To You
  • Kati Wolf – Ne Engedj El
  • Passed – Mesmerize
  • Bálint Gájer – That’s How It Goes

Sweden

  • What: Melodifestivalen 2015 – Deltävling 3
  • Start: 20.00 CET
  • Where: Östersund Arena in Östersund
  • Broadcast: SVT1

The love of many Eurovision fans is continuing their Melodifestivalen tonight: Sweden! Another seven acts are hoping to at least qualify for Andra Chansen. Two will go to the final, two will go to Andra Chansen. Two major favourites with bookmakers are taking part tonight: joik singer Jon Henrik Fjällgren and former X Factor entrant Kristin Amparo. They’ll however need to defeat Melodifestivalen veteran Andreas Johnson and last year’s fan sweetheart Ellen Benediktsson.
The line-up:

  1. Ellen Benediktsson – Insomnia
  2. Kalle Johansson – För Din Skull
  3. Andreas Weise – Bring Out The Fire
  4. Andreas Johnson – Living To Die
  5. Isa – Don’t Stop
  6. Kristin Amparo – I See You
  7. Jon Henrik Fjällgren – Jag Är Fri (Manne Liem Frije)

Finland

  • What: Uuden Musikiin Kilpailu 2015 – Semifinal 3
  • Start: 20.00 CET
  • Broadcast: YLE2

Finland sure knows how to shock! Fan favourite Siru failed to qualify last time, whereas Opera Skaala and Shava made it. Another six acts are taking the stage tonight, with the UMK polls saying Järjestyshäiriö is the favourite, followed by mother-daughter duo Solju. Ida Bois and Angelo de Nile would be fighting for the third spot in the final. However, the Finnish, as we said, know how to surprise! UMK is a show you cannot miss!

  1. Ida Bois – Kumbaya
  2. Aikuinen – Kyynelten Lahti
  3. Solju – Hold Your Colours
  4. Järjestyshäiriö – Särkyneiden Sydänten Kulmilla
  5. Angelo de Nile – All For Victory
  6. Heidi Pakarinen – Bon Voyage
