The next song from this year’s Junior Eurovision to be revealed is ‘Viva’ by Chiara and Martina for reigning champions Italy.
The path to the contest for the 15 year-old Scarpari twins has not been a smooth one. Last month, they won over nine other acts in an episode of Ti Lascio Una Canzone to be given the honour of representing Italy at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
However, it later emerged that there were some technical problems in the final stage of the televoting that may have resulted in a different outcome. Therefore Chiara and Martina competed against Giovanni Sutera Sardo once again in a re-run of the final duel. The audience voted in the same way as before, and the twins kept their ticket to Sofia.
Since their victory (and their second victory) the girls have been working hard in the recording studio with established singer-songwriter Gigi D’Alessio to prepare their song, and now ‘Viva’ has been released in full.
