London Eurovision Party proudly announces legend of Balkan music and Eurovision veteran, Kaliopi as a performer at Café de Paris on 17 April.
She will represent Macedonia at Eurovision for the second time this spring, singing “Dona”.
In a statement, London Eurovision Party 2016 sponsor OGAE UK said:
“OGAE UK is delighted to be a sponsor of the London Eurovision Party for the first time. As the home of Eurovision fans in the UK we’re excited to be a part of one of the highlights of the annual Eurovision calendar. And as one of the biggest Eurovision fan clubs in the world it’s only appropriate that OGAE UK brings to London one of the biggest stars of this year’s contest. We know that Kaliopi will take the British Eurovision fans to her heart and we look forward to seeing a world-class performance from her at the Cafe de Paris.”
A little lady with a big voice and huge personality, Kaliopi has been releasing commercially successful albums for thirty years and has no intention of slowing – she will no doubt be showing London how to party. With a vocal that can bring both frost and fire to the stage, Kaliopi is a veteran of the Eurovision experience, having participated in the pre-selection round of 1996 and achieving 13th place at Eurovision with the ballsy rock ballad, Crno I Belo (Black and White).
