The 2019 edition of Choir of the Year

With the contest being biennial, the 2019 edition will only be the second time the competition has taken place. However, no announcement has been made as to where the competition will take place. But it is thought that Gothenburg, Sweden is the likely destination as the city will host the European Choir Games.

Wales at Eurovision Choir of the Year

Côr Merched Sir Gâr represented Wales in 2017 (the first edition of Eurovision Choir of the Year) and finished in second place behind Slovenia. The choir was formed of pupils from schools across Carmarthenshire. The choir won Côr Cymru 2017 and therfore the right to represent Wales at the contest.
