London Eurovision Party

Samanta Tīna gets the London Eurovision Party 2020 started

Our first confirmed 2020 act to perform at the London Eurovision Party is Samanta Tīna from Latvia! Her entry “Still Breathing” won Supernova, the Latvian selection show, and she will present her song to the UK fans in the heart of the capital’s West End on Sunday 29th March.

Will London still be breathing after Samanta Tīna performs?

Becoming an early fan favourite in the Latvian selection, Samanta Tīna raced to victory with both the televote and the online vote. Having previously competed to win the ticket to Eurovision five times in Latvia and two times in Lithuania, it’s fair to say her dream has truly come true.

A strong competitor in singing competitions across the continent, Samanta Tīna is no stranger to it! In 2010, she won the chance to attend a music school in London, before winning Golden Voices in Moldova in 2011 and becoming runner up in Slavianski Bazaar in Belarus in 2012. In 2014, she finished in the top 8 of the Lithuanian series of The Voice.

Samanta Tīna will perform in the second half of semifinal 2 at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020.

SuRie was announced yesterday as our co-host for 2020, alongside Paddy O’Connell, and she will also perform during the show.
