Spain among the voting countries

OGAE Spain reports that Spain’s Eurovision 2011 representative Lucía Pérez will be part of the international jury at Finland’s Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2020.

50 percent of the votes from the juries

Lucía Pérez represented Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the song “Que me quiten lo bailao” and finished 23rd in the final. This year she will be one of the international jurors at the Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu final, where Finland’s representative to Eurovision Song Contest 2020 will be selected.

The international jury has been part of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu since 2017. This year, the jury will give 50 percent of the votes in the final. It hasn’t been announced, which countries will be part of the jury this year. Last year the points came from United Kingdom, Norway, Spain, Czech Republic, Sweden, Ireland, Denmark and the Eurovision 2019 host country Israel.

The Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) 2020 final will take place on March 7th in Tampere. Six artists will compete for the right to represent Finland in Rotterdam. Finland will compete in the second semifinal of the contest.
