🇩🇪 Ben Dolic to represent Germany in Rotterdam with “Violent Thing”

Will Germany rise to the top again?

Germany’s artist was revealed today after the filming of the show “Unser Lied Für Rotterdam” took place. As of 15:30, the artist was no longer under a duty of silence and Ben Dolic was able to reveal that he will be flying the German flag in Rotterdam with his song “Violent Thing”!

Who is Benjamin Dolic?

22-year-old Ben is a Slovenian singer-songwriter who gained success in Germany by participating in the 8th season of “The Voice of Germany” and placing second. He currently lives in Switzerland and has been touring Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in the past. Eurovision fans, however, may know him from the Slovenian national selection EMA in 2016, where he participated as part of the group D Base.

Songwriter royalty and international staging

“Violent Thing” was written by Connor Martin, Dag Lundberg, Jimmy Thoren, Peter St James and Borislav Milanov, who is responsible for highly successful Eurovision entries like “If Love Was a Crime“, “Beautiful Mess” or “Nobody But You”.

The song will be staged by US-choreographer Marty Kudelka who in the past has been responsible for big events like the Superbowl halftime show in 2018.
