🇦🇱 New version of Arilena Ara’s Eurovision entry to be titled “Fall From The Sky”

This evening, Arilena Ara has confirmed that the Eurovision version of her song “Shaj” will be titled “Fall From The Sky”. It will represent Albania in the second semi-final of the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam.

Switching to English for Eurovision

It has previously been reported by Albanian media that Arilena had been working on a revamp of “Shaj” with English lyrics and a more modern, radio-friendly sound. Arilena’s unveiling of the single artwork on Instagram this evening certainly backs up those reports. Have a look at her announcement below:

Winner of Festivali i Këngës in December

Back in December, “Shaj” became the first song revealed for the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest after Arilena took victory in the 58th edition of Albania’s historic Festivali i Këngës. As a result, she earned the right to succeed Jonida Maliqi as the Albanian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest.

The premiere of “Fall From The Sky” is yet to be confirmed. Nevertheless, with the deadline for delegations to hand in their entries to the EBU being March 9th, it is very likely that RTSH will broadcast the video within the next few days.
