Attention!

Daði Freyr puts his spin on ‘Volcano Man‘

With the shadow of the Eurovision movie looming in the distance, various Eurovision stars are taking turns to grab ‘Volcano Man‘ and put their own spin on it. Naturally, a song about Iceland sung by fake Icelanders deserves a cover by someone that actually lives in the country. That’s where Daði Freyr comes in!

“Hi! My name is Daði Freyr and this is Volcano Man” – A clear and simple way to start off a video featuring 1:29 minutes of pure synth perfection. Daði has added his own charming touch to the song by re-creating it in the familiar sound we have all come to know and love. Of course, the signature sweater is there as well! Listen to his version down below:

Volcano Man? Eurovision…movie?

Oh yes, it’s happening. It’s called “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga” and it’s out June 26 on Netflix! The movie will be a comedic take on our beloved contest starring Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams with plenty more familiar names in supporting roles. Some who might even have seen the contest before! ‘Volcano Man‘ was just the first song released off the movie’s soundtrack. You can hear the original version right here:

Are you looking forward to Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga? Would ‘Volcano Man‘ make for a good Eurovision entry? What do you think about things?
