North Macedonia’s national broadcaster MRT have confirmed that they will make a decision regarding their participation in this year’s Junior Eurovision within the next few days.
Currently, the broadcaster has not yet announced any plans to take part in the contest in Warsaw. To date, North Macedonia have only missed two contests in 2012 and 2014.
Country number 14?
According to Eurovoix, the broadcaster is due to make an announcement soon about their future in the contest. In May, MRT confirmed to ESCXTRA that they were awaiting instructions from the EBU before making a decision on whether or not to participate.
Currently, 13 countries have confirmed their participation, while Wales and Australia have both announced their withdrawal from the contest. With the full list of participating countries revealed in late July for the past two years, an announcement from the EBU is imminent!
