Jendriks road to Eurovision

Over the past year, Jendrik wrote his own music during lockdown. After not being able to perform live last year, Jendrik posted a humorous video clip for one of his songs on TikTok and Instagram – “How to make a Musikvideo” with the goal of getting to Eurovision.

Meant in a humorous way at first, things started getting more serious fast. With his videos getting more and more views, NDR took notice of him and he soon made it from one round to the next. On December 1st, the decision was made and Jendrik received the news he waited for his whole life: He will be representing Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest!

Overall, he scored an extremely high score with both juries, averaging 11,82 points out of 12 points. Furthermore, his stage performance will be created by Povilas Varvuolis, Marianas Staniulénas, Lauras Luciunas and Werner Klötsch. The mostly Lithuanian team is known through their work with The Roop and „Pabandom iš naujo“ 2020 und 2021 in general.
