The Vengaboys are a Dutch band who have acquired worldwide fame since the late 90s. Their most popular hits include “We Like To Party”, “We’re Going To Ibiza”, and “Boom Boom Boom Boom”. Despite all members being from from The Netherlands, the band has discussed potentially representing the United Kingdom in Eurovision 2022.
Fans of “Embers”
In an interview with the British newspaper Metro, the band firstly discussed James Newman’s “Embers”. The song had the unfortunate fate of receiving zero points from both the jury and the public vote, which surprised the band. Member Robin Pors said that “the song was nice and the singer was nice but they were like ‘whatever, zero points’. How was that even possible?”
The band expressed their love for the United Kingdom in the interview, and went on to say that they can represent the United Kingdom in Eurovision next year, with Pors stating that “next year we are going to arrange it.” Seemingly, they are interested in bringing one of their party songs to Italy in 2022!
