14. Azerbaijan: Sona Azizova – One of Those Days

Performing 14th in this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest live final will be Sona Azizova from Azerbaijan with the song “One of Those Days”. The track’s music and lyrics were written by Maria Broberg, Fransisco Faria, Martin Wiik, Hampus Eurenius, Javid Shahbazbayov, Sona Azizova herself.

The performance of “One of Those Days” is understated, allowing Sona and her impressive vocal capacity to shine. Lighting is used to great effect, especially leading into the final chorus where just one spotlight lights Sona centre stage, before the entire back screen turns golden.

As we saw in the clip from the first rehearsal, Sona is wearing an impressively long, white dress with sparkling elements. She gives a mature, focused and confident performance. Having no dancers around or any additional activity on stage will only make the audience appreciate her voice even more.
