Junior Eurovision 2021 voting is open!

Voting is now open for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021! Once again, fans from all over the world can cast their votes for this year’s contest right now. But who should you vote for? To help you decide, let us take you through a review of each artist’s rehearsals and their voting details!

3. Poland: Sara James – Somebody

Performing 3rd in this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest live final will be Sara James from Poland with the song “Somebody”. The track’s music and lyrics were written in Polish and English by Dominik Buczkowski-Wojtaszek, Jan Bielecki, Patryk Kumór and Tom Martin.

Sara James picks up right where we left off after her first rehearsal. This time however, we are able to see the true extent of the gorgeous mix of blue, pink and purple. Sara and her dancers are as in sync as ever, and carry grace and poise professionally throughout the performance.

There is a really good mix of wide and close up shots in Sara’s performance. This creates a great effect, as she is able to tell us her story through her facial expression, but also dazzle us with the wide LED screen that makes us feel we are floating through a fantastical galaxy. The cut to black just prior to the bridge of the song, and subsequent close-up shot of Sara amongst what looks like paper birds is magical and a great transition to the climax of the song. The final low-angle shot in the second rehearsal clip is a powerful one, as it sees Sara standing tall whilst her dancers let her take centre stage. Overall, Poland has a very polished production and conveys the uplifting message of the song really effectively.
