The last entry of Finland’s national selection for Eurovision Song Contest 2022 is now out. The seventh entry of UMK22 comes from Isaac Sene, who is taking part with the song “Kuuma jäbä” (Hot dude).

Isaac Sene has written his song together with producer Alvar Yrjänä Escartin. Previously Alvar Yrjänä Escartin has worked with Yeboyah on her critically acclaimed debut album Perhosefekti, R&B artist Hassan Maikal and rap artist Etta, among others. All three artists got nominations at the Finnish music gala Emma Gaala in 2022.
Who is Isaac Sene?
Isaac Sene hails from Siilinjärvi, but was born in Brussels. Isaac’s father is from Senegal and his mother is Finnish. He comes from a family with musical background and his brother also makes music and is known as Sexmane. Sene spent his childhood listening to all kinds of music, including everything from Mozart to Bob Marley, trance to Finnish heavy metal, thus laying the foundation for his enormously eclectic style.
Isaac released his first singles in 2019, including “Akryyli” and “Hello My Ppl“. The next year he released his first EP, Koko kansan EP. The song “Bébe” featuring Vesta got some success and has been streamed around 200 thousand times on Spotify. Last year Isaac released two singles including very personal and thought-provoking “N-sana” (N-word).
Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2022
The eleventh edition of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu is taking place on February 26th at 20:00 CET. Seven acts will compete and the Finnish public together with international juries will choose Finland’s representative for Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin.
