Today in a special press conference the Spanish broadcaster RTVE revealed the detailed results of the televote and the demoscopic jury in Benidorm Fest. It shows that Tanxugueiras received over 70 percent of the televotes in the final.
192,000 votes were cast during the final. From those, the group Tanxugueiras got 41,620 votes through the phone calls and 94,220 through the text messages. In total, this makes 70.75 percent of the televote. Rigoberta Bandini, who finished second on the televote, got 18.08 percent of the vote.
The eventual winner Chanel received only 3.97 percent of the televotes. However, she wasn’t far behind Tanxuguieras on the ranking of the demoscopic jury. Tanxugueiras was the favourite with 14.59 percent of the votes with Chanel second with 13.88 percent of the votes. Rigoberta Bandini on the third place got 13.52 percent of the votes.
Chanel won the Benidorm Fest with the song “SloMo” by being the favourite of the jury. The jury awarded her 51 points, and after getting 25 points from the demoscopic jury and 20 points from the televoters, she managed to pull ahead of Rigoberta Bandini. Rigoberta Bandini finished second with 91 points. The televote winner Tanxugueiras finished third with 90 points, after the jury decided to award them only 30 points.
