In an interview with ESC kompakt, Felicia Lu told about the plans to revamp her Germany 12 points entry “Anxiety”.
During the interview Felicia shared some exclusive news on the revamp of her song “Anxiety”. A new version will be performed in Germany’s national final on March 4th. The current version of the song is only 2 minutes and 32 seconds long, which leaves room for an extension to the three minutes allowed at the Eurovision Song Contest. Felicia tells that the live version retains the structure of the original version, but not just another chorus has been added, but a whole new part of the song.
It is a significant difference, it’s not so monotone anymore, but has highs and lows. It was important for me, to create some Eurovision moments.

If Felicia wins Germany 12 points and will have the chance to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, there may also be a studio version – the so-called Eurovision version – of the new version of the song.
Felicia Lu returns to Germany’s national selection after competing in the final of Unser Song 2017. She is one of the six artists competing in the selection this year. The running order for the final was recently drawn and Felicia will perform fifth in the final.
Germany 12 points takes place on March 4th. The winner will be selected through public voting that includes phone calls, text messages and online voting. For the online voting, people will be able to vote via the official websites of the nine ARD radio channels between 28th of February and 4th of March.
As one of the highest-paying EBU members, Germany automatically qualifies to the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. The final of the 2022 contest will take place on May 14th in Turin, Italy.
