The Romanian broadcaster TVR has invited the representatives of seven countries to perform in the final of Selecția Națională 2022. They will have international guests from Bulgaria, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, Czech Republic and Estonia.
Romania will choose their Eurovision 2022 representative this Saturday on March 5th. Next to the ten finalists, the artists from seven countries will perform their Eurovision entries. Zdob și Zdub and Frații Advahov from Moldova, Intelligent Music Project from Bulgaria, Vladana from Montenegro, Andrea from North Macedonia, Ronela Hajati from Albania, We Are Domi from the Czech Republic and Stefan from Estonia will all perform in Romania.
It was a challenge to get this line-up for the final, considering the situation in Ukraine, but I am glad that we succeeded and we bring the magic of Eurovision closer to the Romanian fans. At such a difficult time for Europe, the finalists of the Selecția Națională and Eurovision artists from these countries will remind us that music unites and will send a message for peace.Iuliana Marciuc, project manager of Eurovision Romania
The final of Selecția Națională 2022 includes ten songs, that qualified to the final from the semi-final on February 12th. The winner will be chosen by the jury panel and the televoting. At the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, Romania in will compete in the second semi-final of the contest in Turin. Romania’s representative will perform on the second half of the show.
