Tonight the German national final “Germany 12 Points” took place in Berlin. The winner selected by 50% online voting and 50% televoting is going to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin.
Malik Harris to represent Germany in Turin
Six acts were in the race to represent Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin. Since Monday, people were able to cast their vote in one of nine radio strations. Those were 50% of the total results. The other 50% came from the televoting from the votes during the show. In the end, the winner was Malik Harris with “Rockstars” and a total of 208 points. He opened the show. After finishing second in the online vote, he won the televote. Runner-up was Maël & Jonas, who won the online vote!

Last year Germany was represented by Jendrik and “I Don’t Feel Hate”. He finished 25th in the Grand Final in Rotterdam with 3 points.
As one of the highest-paying EBU members, Germany automatically qualifies to the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. The final of the 2022 contest will take place on May 14th in Turin, Italy.
