Chanel Terrero has released the music video of her Eurovision 2022 entry, “SloMo”! She will be Spain’s 61st representative at the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin in May.
Pure passion and power
If you watched Chanel’s live performance at Benidorm Fest back in January, you can expect even more from her music video, as she really thrives on camera and captures the fun and fire that we all know and love in “SloMo”. Take a look at the official clip below!
About the music video
After winning Benidorm Fest, Chanel has continuously been preparing for Eurovision 2022 so that she can deliver a polished performance. Last weekend, RTVE announced that filming was underway for the “SloMo” music video.
The music video was directed by Pawla Casanovas, a Catalan director and artist, who is self-taught in audiovisual. Pawla has promised to showcase Chanel as not only a pop-diva, but also an empowered woman who is the protagonist of her own life. The video clip involves everything you’d expect – lots of dance, visual effects and lighting.
Pawla had nothing but praise when speaking of what it was like working with Chanel, and what the creative process of filming the video was like:
“She is a born performer, when ever we talk about her the first shot is always good. It has been amazing, I’m very tired, but everything went perfectly. We’ve given our best for making an incredible job.“

In a behind the scenes video released by RTVE, Chanel spoke about how she felt about filming her first official music video.
“It’s crazy. Ever since I was a child, I have loved music videos and I’ve always imagined myself in front of the screen and being the star behind that smoke, and the fan wind .. and now, everything has become a reality.”

About Chanel
It might be hard to believe, but “SloMo” is in fact Chanel’s very first commercially released single. However, the big stage isn’t new to Chanel, as she has over a decade of experience under her belt in dance, acting and singing. She has performed in various Spanish productions of Flashdance, Mamma Mia and The Lion King, and fun fact – she also appeared alongside Shakira herself at the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards!
Her participation in Eurovision this year is nothing short of symbolic and heartwarming. At the tender age of four, she was introduced to the Eurovision Song Contest and has since then never stopped dreaming about what it might be like to have the chance to replicate her childhood memories and aspirations. Dreams really do come true!
So, if you’re like us and can’t wait for the power and passion in Chanel’s performance at the Grand Final on 14th May, you can catch Chanel and many of the artists from the class of 2022 (as well as some Eurovision legends) at the Barcelona Eurovision Party on Saturday March 26! Tickets can be purchased here.
