Montenegro is making their comeback to Eurovision after last competing in 2019. In 2022, the country will be represented by Vladana. Recently she was added to the line-up of Eurovision in Concert 2022.
Vladana was selected to represent Montenegro at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 internally by the broadcaster RTCG. Her entry “Breathe” was released early March and it’s composed by Darko Dimitrov, who has composed many songs to the contest in the past years. Recently he has been among the songwriters for Hurricane’s “Loco Loco” and Tamara Todevska‘s “Proud”. Vladana Vučinić has written the lyrics for her song herself. “Breathe” was originally dedicated to Vladana’s mother, who passed from COVID-19, and is now dedicated to all the victims of that disease.
Montenegro will compete in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 and Vladana will be performing on the second half of the show on May 12th. Montenegro hopes to qualify to the final for the first time since 2015.
