Senhit, Tory Lanez – ‘Follow Me’

After the Freaky Trip To Rotterdam, San Marino’s two-time representative, Senhit recently included a stopover in Turin. During Eurovision week Senhit performed at the Eurofansclub and gave fans an exclusive early live preview of new single, ‘Follow Me’. Last weekend fans in Milan also got to listen to the new single at Milano Pride. Now the slice of Summer with Canadian rap star, Tory Lanez is officially released. The song which combines English and Spanish lyrics, is a hurricane of pulsating Afrobeats as the pair provide the perfect Pride anthem for all the women who love women out there.

Hatari – ‘Dansið eða Deyið’

Everyone’s favourite anti-capitalist, industrial techno band are back! After years of preaching hate, the band have somewhat softened during the downtime of the pandemic. Now with families of their own, Hatari’s new single, ‘Dansið eða deyið’ or ‘Dance or Die’ reflects on that change. Whilst still being true to their sound, this new single fuses together 80s dance hall synths within modern production. Throughout the song is a reminder to enjoy life with your loved ones no matter what is happening in society. Those that want to enjoy even more of Hatari can see the group on their rescheduled Dance or Die Tour.

This is our interpretation of the state of society, where we are and where we are headed. It is naturally a critical undertone in the song, but between the lines you can read our desire in Hatara to make people happy and encourage them to have good times with family and friends.

BESS – ‘Rakastan en rakasta’

Earlier this year the enigmatic BESS was one of the breakout stars of UMK 2022. Following the national final the Finnish singer smashed the charts with ‘Ram pam pam‘. On the back of this success, she also featured as a performer at Turin’s Eurofansclub. Now she’s back to do the same with ‘Rakastan en rakasta’. Another stirring electro-rock banger, which means ‘I Love and I Don’t Love’, is as frenetic as the message of the song. In amongst the rap chants and heavy production is a story of the chaos of love and all the battles of emotion between the mind and heart.

I love and I don’t love tells about the contradictions of loving. Mind and heart do not always speak the same language and the heart seems to have its own consciousness. While love is wonderful and the only thing that matters in a person’s life, it is also scary and reveals everything about us. It tends to mess everything up like hell until we’re ready to accept it for what it is.
