Cypriot representative Andrew Lambrou has landed in Stockholm to record his Eurovision 2023 entry, just over a month after he was announced to represent the country.
Recording in a snowy Stockholm
As reported by Eurovision Fun, the Cypriot delegation have told the news outlet that Andrew’s trip to Stockholm is for song recording purposes. With this in mind, it’s likely that CyBC are working with Swedish talent to work on the song. However, this is yet to be confirmed.
In his Instagram story, Andrew is excited to be in the Swedish capital, and states that he’s experiencing his first ever snow!
CyBC also explained to Eurovision Fun that, after recording, Andrew will spend a few days in Greece and Cyprus doing media duties.
About Andrew Lambrou
Andrew will represent Cyprus at next year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool. The Australian-born singer is of Greek-Cypriot descent through one of his grandfathers.
Lambrou released his debut single last year while continuing to grow his fanbase since just missing the X Factor live shows in 2015. Earlier this year, he was selected to compete in Australia Decides with “Electrify”, finishing in 7th place overall.
Last month, he was announced as the representative for Cyprus at Eurovision 2023, while also signing with Panik Records.
