I adore it regularly when German music leans into folk or metal, and amazingly, for once, we have quite a large representation of that on offer in Germany’s selection. ‘Melodies Of Hope’ is certainly more of the former, and is definitely the most joyful of this selection. It’s really rousing and beautiful. I don’t want to curse it and say it would be locked on for Eurovision success but it’s been a while since the German entry has been anything more than an afterthought. Patty Gurdy would surely solve that problem, she’s charismatic and cheery and who can say no to such a bright song at any time. |

I have been following Patty since I stumbled across her on YouTube during lockdown.
She is an amazingly talented singer/songwriter and has sone great music videos.
Would love to see her as the winning entry for Germany to help give her some more exposure.
If she gets selected I believe she could win it.
