Sam Ryder and Måneskin receive MTV VMAs 2023 nominations

MTV have released the nominees for the MTV Video Music Awards 2023. Among the list for the MTV VMAs 2023 are Italy’s Eurovision 2021 winners, Måneskin and British 2022 runner-up, Sam Ryder.

Måneskin and Sam Ryder continue Eurovision legacy at VMAs

Back in 2021 Måneskin took over the world with their signature brand of brash, but contemporary rock sound, oozing with stylish Italian flair. After Eurovision success with, ‘ZITTI E BUONI’ came Billboard chart success, MTV EMAs victory, and breaking MTV VMAs records for Italian acts. Following their two nominations last year, Måneskin are back again with a nomination at the MTV Video Music Awards 2023 for ‘Best Rock’ with ‘THE LONELIEST‘. However the group face tough competition. Also nominated in the same category are Rock legends such as: Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, Metallica, Muse and Red Chili Peppers.

Meanwhile, Sam Ryder, the UK runner-up of Eurovision 2022 is no stranger to an award show. As another artist that is paving the way to use Eurovision as a career platform, Sam has already received nominations at the BRITs – the first Eurovision artist to do so and recently, an Emmy Award. Joining Måneskin at the upcoming MTV VMAs, Sam has received a nomination for ‘Push Performance of the Year’ for ‘All The Way Over’. Also nominated in that category are: Armani White, FLETCHER, FLO, Flo Milli, Ice Spice, JVKE, Lauren Spencer Smith, Reneé Rapp, Saucy Santana, Stephen Sanchez and TOMORROW X TOGETHER.

MTV Video Music Awards 2023

The MTV VMAs are a celebration and recognition of the music video medium and artistry involved. As well as the chance to win the famous, “moon man” astronaut trophy. You can have your say and help Måneskin and Sam Ryder by visiting the MTV voting website. Each person can vote 10 times per day in every category. However, today is double vote day! The show kicks off live from New Jersey’s Prudential Centre and will air across all MTV channels Sunday September 12 8pm ET or 1am GMT Monday morning in the UK.
